OTH owners, a 20 years friendship

Graduating from the same engineering school in 2001 in Marseille (France), Oliver & Jeremy are old friends. Their first talks were definitely not about work.

Oliver

Born entrepreneur, Oliver created his first company right after school. He meets a great success and ultimately built from scratch a +100 employee company in the construction industry.

Jeremy

Jeremy embraced a 15-year career in the nuclear and defense industry. His boldness leads him up to design, build and maintain complex energy infrastructure and manage hundreds of workers over the years.

Mr. Ludwig and THE LudwigHook

Mr. Ludwig was THE genius inventor of the hook. His unique talent mixed with field experience in the logging industry enabled him to design what would become the MVP of all quick-release and auto-hook system. Mr. Ludwig passed away in... but his legacy to the lifting industry is now, more than ever, alive.

Peter Ruf, founder of Ludwig System, took the exciting challenge of manufacturing the LudwigHooks in Bad Reichenhall, Germany.

Over the years, Ludwig System has built a solid reputation by serving the industry with affordable and high-quality wireless Quick_release products.

To date about over 4000 "Ludwighooks" had been manufactured.

One way ticket to america

In 2018, Jeremy & Oliver decide to live the same old dream: a one-way flight to North America to start a joint venture.

A few month later, Oliver found out the enormous benefits of wireless quick-release systems in the construction and transportation industry in Quebec, Canada.

After some homework, no doubt, LudwigHook is the answer: an unexpected addition of durability, efficiency & safety for a demanding North American market.

Countless solutions… 10,000 hooks in 2030

OTH launch the Ludwighook in May 2021.

2 years later, 700 units have been implemented in 160 companies (43 states), helping all kinds of companies save time and safety.

In collaboration with their US and Canadian customers, OTH made available countless solutions (over 30 referenced) using the LudwigHook in the construction and transportation industry.

In 2023, OTH & Ludwig system signed an exclusive partnership for an unlimited duration in time.
