FAQ

SAFETY - STANDARDS

  • Can you drop the load during the lift?

No. The hook cannot open when it's loaded with more than 55lbs. Power supply of the opening mechanism is switched off during the lift, up until the load is set down.

  • Is it compliant with American standards?

Yes. The hooks are OSHA compliant and have passed a certification program including all required American and Canadian standards such as ASME (mechanical), FCC & IC (RF & EMC) and UL & CSA (electrical).

  • What is the safety factor

Safety factor is 3 according to requirements of ASME B30.20 for “Below the hook lifting device”.

  • What happens if I’m running out of battery?

When battery gets low the LED will flash red on the side of the hook, it’s then time to recharge. If you decide to go for extra miles and fully discharge the battery, the hook will stay locked and you will have to unhook through the safety latch… like in the old days!

  • On the remote what are the colors for?

The “All color” key will enable opening all hooks at once whereas the red, blue, yellow and green keys allow you to open one hook at a time.
