The Quick Release LudwigHook allows precast concrete elements including walls to be aligned and released with precision from a safe distance. No ladders are required and no time is wasted on manual unhooking. This prevents surface damage and ensures a clean, accurate installation even for elements with window and door openings.

Setting down concrete elements

The Quick Release LudwigHook delivers benefits that go beyond working at height. In civil engineering, unstable ground makes entering pits hazardous. With remote release, crews don’t have to climb down to unhook loads. Sewer elements like concrete drainage rings can be set safely from a distance, reducing risk and saving valuable time.

Placing prefab concrete walls on special transport trailers

Manufacturers of precast concrete elements use these radio-controlled Quick Release LudwigHooks to store their elements in special racks or to place them directly on the truck bed. Using these hooks eliminates the need for ladders or lifting platforms that are normally required to suspend the load. This eliminates a safety hazard. And at the same time, productivity is increased.

Placing precast concrete elements in the danger zone

Following a major debris avalanche in 2019, precast concrete elements had to be installed in highly unstable terrain to build an avalanche barrier. To keep workers out of the danger zone, the elements were released remotely using two radio-controlled Quick Release LudwigHooks of 5 ton capacity each.
